Job positions fall under either "sworn" or "staff" classifications. Sworn positions require current Florida Law Enforcement or Corrections certification and include entry positions such as Deputy Sheriff and Correction Officer.
Staff positions do not require law enforcement certification and include entry positions such as Communications Officer, Clerical, and Secretarial as well as several other specialized categories.
